Abstract: In connection with an existing superconducting cavity, a superconducting microwave cavity prepared for superconducting-cavity-stabilized-oscillator is designed and optimized. Taking into consideration such factors as electromagnetic field on cavity surface, machining and surface treatment, a cylindrical cavity is adopted. For the designed cylindrical cavity, the mode is TM010, the diameter is 50 mm, the height is 26.5 mm and the frequency is 4.5 GHz. The size of beam pipe is also optimized for reducing the influence on the electromagnetic field mode of superconducting cavity, and the diameter and length of the designed beam pipe are 10 mm and 50 mm respectively.
