Abstract: All the astronomical records in《JIN SHI》and《YUAN SHI》were checked by using modern astronomical computation and these records were classified, analyzed and counted. Those records were classified under two types, one of which can be computed and the other one can not. The mistake rates for various sorts of records were computed and the original features for most mistakes could be examined and obtained. The astronomical records for the Jin dynasty and Yuan dynasty other than those in《JIN SHI》and《YUAN SHI》were also searched.
