Abstract: A common approach for solving the power spectral density of navigation signal is introduced first. Based on this method, an explicit expression of the power spectral density of BOC signal for arbitrary sub-carrier phase is presented through modeling and derivation. The simulation and analysesshow that the difference in the sub-carrier phase corresponds to the difference in the power spectral density for BOC signal, and it is these differences that affect the performance of navigation systems and bring flexibility to the design of signal system of navigation systems. Some conclusions obtained in this paper can be used for reference for choosing the sub-carrier phase of BOC signal in future navigation signal design.
