Abstract：A design scheme of wide band frequency synthesizer based on phase-locked loop（PLL）, which can produce high quality sinusoidal signal, is described. The PLL frequency synthesizer chip ADF4360-7 is used to design the phase-locked loop circuit in this system. The principle and configuration of ADF4360-7 is introduced briefly and the circuit parameters of the frequency synthesizer are given. This kind of local oscillator of wideband signal allows a frequency range of 500 MHz～1 GHz.
