Abstract: The theory of compass satellite two-way timing is introduced in this paper. A specific calculating model which takes the Sagnac correction into consideration is given, based on a discussion on the former calculation model of two-way timing. Then the Sagnac effects in several representative areas are analyzed. The results show that the Sagnac correction reaches dozens of nano-seconds if the user’s position is far from the centre station. At last, the precision of compass satellite two-way timing is analyzed and the precision is verified with some tests conducted in several districts.
