Abstract: The main function and principle of a BPM short-wave time-service signal simulator is introduced. The components, input/output interfaces and software flow chart for this simulator are expounded. The clock of time-keeping of the simulator, whose time source is traced to GPS, is driven by a 10 MHz OCXO, a cryetal oscillator with high stability and constant temperature. The simulator produces the carrier frequency and modulating signal under the program control, and provides 6 channels of amplified BPM signals. Some tests indicate that the technical indexes of this BPM signal simulator meet the demand of BPM short-wave time-service signal.
