Abstract:In order to meet the requirement of miniature, low power consumption CPT(coherent population trapping) atomic frequency standard, a temperature control circuit based on power regulator is proposed and realized. The experimental results show that as compared with commonly used circuits, this proposed circuit achieves the equal temperature control capability while the power consumption and the circuit size are reduced by 25% and by half respectively. Therefore, it is an ideal temperature control circuit for miniature, low power consumption CPT atomic frequency standard, and it provides also an alternative temperature control circuit for other similar applications.
