Fan Zhanyou:Born in 1958, master’s Degree, Researcher, supervisor of masters.

Once did research on theories of Radio-wave propagation and the Antarctic ionosphere. Now focus on the theoretical study of time-frequency, the solve of key problems on this area, and the development of high-end equipment.

Presided over the development of the high-precision time interval counter, the measuring accuracy of which is leading the way domestically, and reaches the international most advanced level. This research result was awarded the Progress Prize in Science and Technology, first prize, by xi’an branch, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). Also presided over the reconstruction task of the automatic production line which imported from the United States, which won the Progress Prize in Science and Technology, second prize, awarded by the government of Henan province.

The development of diverse temporal equipments,  (e.g. Time Synchronization Control Equipment,  Precise Time Teasurement Devices, GPS/BD Multifunctional Terminal B Code Equipment) which realize the high-precision time’s synchronization and timing function in important military projects, such as the shooting range, the aerospace field, etc.

Currently bear the national project " Accuracy Study of 100 ps Time Interval Measurement ", The study is of great practical significance in improving the level of precision strike capabilities, raising navigation accuracy, driving to enhance China's overall equipment to a higher level.
