Yang Xuhai, research professor of NTSC, CAS. received the Ph.D degree in Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003. Currently he is director of department of orbit determination and time synchronization in NTSC, and he is also membership of the International Astronomical Union IAU, and a committeeman of Committee of Spacecraft TT&C Technology, Chinese Society of Astronautics.

His research interests include orbit measurement, orbit determination and time transfer. He is one of main principals of orbit group in China Area Positioning System (CAPS), and he has ever worked in GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences as an advanced visiting scholar. Now he is in charge of several science projects including 863 plan, and has published more than 20 papers in Science in China, ACTA Astronomica SINICA, and other science journals.
