From Sept. 12 to 16, ION GNSS+ 2016 was held in Oregon Convention Center in Portland. Lu Xiaochun, Vice Director and Researcher, and Ke Jing, Assistant Researcher of NTSC, CAS, both as members of the Chinese delegation, attended the Meeting. Preparatory meetings and academic lectures are convened from Sept. 12 to 13, with technical sub-meetings from Sept. 14 to 16, covering three research subjects and innovation groups, i.e. “GNSS Advanced Technology”, “Multi-sensor Navigation” and “Algorithms and Methods”. In the afternoon of Sept. 14, Beidou Special Meeting was held by CAS, and Lu Xiaochun, Vice Director and Researcher of NTSC, CAS, and Shen Jun, Vice Director of International Cooperation Center, held the posts of co-chairmen, and Dr. Ke Jing of NTSC gave an academic presentation of “China GNSS HRO and Observation Results”. In the morning of Sept. 15, experts from China and the U.S. made technical exchange regarding compatibility and interoperability of BDS and GPS signals, and Lu Xiaochun, as Chinese deputy chief of the sub-working group for cooperation compatibility and interoperability of Chinese and the U.S. satellite navigation, participated in the exchange.
