Professor P.Kenneth Seidelmann, Former President of the United States Naval Observatory and His Delegation Visited NTSC for Academic Exchange

On Oct. 21, 2011, professor P.Kenneth Seidelmann, former president of the United States Naval Observatory and his delegation of 11 people visited NTSC for academic exchange. They made a report under the title of The Issue Concerning the Future of UTC in the academic report hall on the third floor of the lecture hall in the Center.

During the academic exchange meeting, doctor Yuan Haibo of NTSC introduced the main directions and tasks of the research on time frequency field of the Center in recent years. And professor Seidelmann gave a report under the title of The Issue Concerning the Future of UTC. The young scientific research staffs of the Center also conducted profound communications and discussions on relevant issues with professor Seidelmann.

The meeting of academic exchange had not only broadened view of the young scientific research staffs of the Center on scientific research fields, but also further promoted their deep understanding of the future development on coordinated universal time.
