On Oct. 24, professor Lin Jin, the academician of International Academy of Astronautics, was invited to conduct academic exchange with CAS Key Laboratory of Positioning and Time-keeping in Precision Navigation, and High-precision Time Synchronization and Precise Orbit Determination Research Office of the NTSC.
Professor Lin Jin had achieved great attainments on the theory of relativity, especially on the relativistic effect in time, thus had been invited as long-term cooperating partner with NTSC for many years in this field.
Except for cooperation and academic exchange, professor Lin Jin had also made an academic report in title of Lorentz Transformation, Superluminal and Time Comparison at the lecture hall of the administration multiple building on Oct., 20. More than 40 staffs and postgraduate students had participated, and heated discussions were performed on basic academic issues of “simultaneity”, “absoluteness”, “relativity” and other aspects in time comparison. The exchange had laid a solid foundation for both sides on further study of precise research in time comparison.
