From July 27 to 30, Harald Schuh, the President of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), the Director of “Geodesy and Remote Sensing” at GFZ and the professor for “Satellite Geodesy” at the Technische Universit？t Berlin (TUB), visited NTSC, and give a report entitled "Research at GFZ to Monitoring Natural Hazards and Global Change". Prof. Schuh was conferred as a guest professor by the NTSC, and the cooperation on the VLBI system and joint talent training were proposed.
Before the report, Prof. Zhang Shougang, the director of NTSC, signed the Guest professor appointment letter, and Lu Xiaochun, the deputy director of NTSC, presented the letter to Prof. Schuh. Yang Xuhai, the director of the Orbit and Time Transfer laboratory, presided over the ceremony and the report. More than 60 young scientific researchers and graduate students from about 10 institutes and universities participated in the academic activity.
