In July 16, 2014, National Time Service Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NTSC, CAS) and Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation (JSBC) held the establishment ceremonies of “Joint Time Service Center of NTSC, CAS and JSBC” as well as “Joint Laboratory of High-precision Time Synchronization and Positioning Technologies for Broadcasting and Television” in Nanjing city.

Zhang Jianping, deputy director of JSBC, and Zhang Shougang, vice director of NTSC, CAS, each delivered a speech said that the two sides have carried out good cooperation in the digital satellite television timing and digital television terrestrial broadcasting areas and acquired some important technological achievements. The Joint Time Service Center and Joint Laboratory established based on the above techniques, is a symbol of new beginning for both sides to further perform high-precision time service and terrestrial broadcasting and television positioning technology research cooperation and actively promote the application of achievements. The two sides will aggregate the backbone technology talents, leverage strengths and advantages in time and frequency field as well as broadcasting and television technology applications, which will be of great importance in improve timing system and the popularization of high-precision time and frequency in broadcast and television system of China.
