On October 31, the grand opening of “2012 International Symposium on GPS/GNSS” was held in Chang’an University. The Symposium was co-sponsored by National Time Service Center (NTSC) of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chang’an University, International Association of Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems (CPGPS), State Key Laboratory of Astronautic Dynamics of China Xi'an Satellite Control Center, and was co-organized by the Key Laboratory of Precision Navigation and Timing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Wu Haitao, vice director of NTSC presided the opening ceremony and addressed.
More than 100 famous experts and scholars from countries and regions, including the United States, Australia, France, Korea, Japan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), Pakistan, Czech, as well as from domestic well-known colleges and universities and research institutes attended the Symposium.
The International Symposium on GPS/GNSS is themed by “Chances and Challenges of GNSS”, experts and scholars discussed and communicated the issues such as GNSS navigation and positioning new technologies, precision clock correction and time synchronization, precision point positioning, GNSS signal processing, precision orbit determination and positioning, GNSS augmentation system and GNSS integrity, GNSS application during the two-day Symposium. Meantime, seven domestic enterprises and institutes displayed their research achievements at the Symposium.
