On March 25, 2010, Xi’an Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and Xi’an Municipal Intellectual Property Office held a meeting to reward Excellent Institution in IPR. Li Qiushi, Member of Standing Committee of Xi’an Municipal Party Committee, vice mayor and other government leaders awarded the honorary title of Xi’an “Excellent Institution in IPR” to a number of colleges and universities as well as research institutions and enterprises including NTSC under CAS, which have shown excellent performance in independent innovation.

Over the past few years, NTSC have attached great importance to the creation, application, protection and administration of IPR, established and perfected the working mechanism, constantly pressed ahead in-depth development of IPR related works, fostered a sound environment in which knowledge is respected, science is put at a premium, innovation is encouraged and IPR is protected, thus constantly increased the number of independent IPR ownerships and enhanced innovation capability as well as core competitiveness.
