During the appraisal on "Award for Scientific & Technological Progress from Shaanxi Academy of Sciences” just concluded, the scientific research, "GPS Time Transfer Receiver " recommended by the National Time Service Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences obtained "the 1st Prize for Scientific & Technological Progress from Shaanxi Academy of Sciences".

GPS time transfer receiver is the main equipment for remote time comparison using GPS common-view technology.

GPS common-view technology is one of the main ways for remote time comparison in the "Joint Atomic Time of China (JATC)" Project. As a result of the achievement, the double-frequency and double-channel GPS time transfer receiver NTSCGPS-2 developed not only has the function of remote time comparison, but also increased local clock comparison and positioning required by JATC, meeting the requirements on remote time comparison in JATC project with no additional comparison equipment.

The finding can be widely used in the medium- and long-range precise time comparison of numerous areas in national economy and national defense construction.
