The Basic Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) presided over the National Standard Review Meeting on the Technical Specification for Standard Time and Frequency Signal Emissions (Draft for Examination) at the State Radio Monitoring Center (SRMC) in Beijing on Nov. 23, 2005.
Formulated according to the national standard and approved by the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China in 2003, the standard was initiated by the NTSC, CAS, and drafted by the National Institute of Metrology of the PRC and the SRMC jointly. With the efforts of the drafting group’s members, the program was accomplished in two years, and then suggestions were solicited from all relevant units nationwide. 13 experts specializing in fields of standard time-frequency signal’s research, emission, transmission, application and standardization from the Ministry of Aerospace Industry, Ministry of Information Industry, China Meteorological Administration, China Association for Standardization, Beijing University, CCTV, CAS, China Electricity Council, etc. are invited by the reviewing meeting to comprise the review group.
Having heard attentively the compilation report of the drafting group of the standard, the experts present at the meeting discussed and reviewed carefully the standard draft for examination, and come up with some opinions and suggestions for alteration. At last, the standard was considered to comply with the requirements for making it the national standard, and be reasonable in technological content, consistent with relevant standards and regulations and practical, so the review group unanimously agreed to approve the Technological Specification for Standard Time and Frequency Signal Emissions (Draft for Examination), and suggested its earlier approval and release by the management department of national standards so as to regulate and promote the time-frequency service of our country.
