Vice President Yuan Jianping from Northwestern Polytechnical University and His Delegation totaling 14 visited NTSC on P.M. Aug. 18, 2009 and had work communication with leaders and professional talents from NTSC.

Wu Haitao and Dou Zhong, deputy directors of the Center, and researcher Lu Xiaochun, Director of Navigation and Communication Dept. attended the meeting. Wu Haitao introduced to Yuan Jianping and his delegation the history of observatory since its establishment and the development situation, and work of NTSC related to time frequency and satellite navigation. He also accompanied Yuan and his delegation visiting the Standard Time and Frequency Lab., Two-Way Satellite Comparison Lab., Big Dipper Calibration Standard, Quantum Frequency Standards Lab., CAPS Orbit Measuring Station and CAPS Navigation Master Control Station.

The NTSC has kept long-standing close cooperative relationship with Northwestern Polytechnical University in subject disciplines of navigation and communication. Vice President Yuan Jianping’s visit has deepened mutual communication, which will definitely promote the further cooperation between the two sides.
