During Nov. 25-27, 2009, Qiu Wuzhi, Vice President of Taiwan Chunghwa Telecommunication Laboratories, Yang Wenhao, Director of Wireless Communications Lab. and Dr. Huang Jinshi paid a visit to the National Time Service Center (NTSC) and had academic exchanges with leaders and professional talents from NTSC.

Attendants are Wang Yulin, Secretary of NTSC, researcher Wu Guichen, researcher Zhang Shougang, Director of Quantum Frequency Standards Lab. & Head Assistant, Liu Ziyi, Deputy Director of Science & Technology Dept., etc. Wang Yulin gave an introduction on the history and development situation of observatory since its establishment and works related to time frequency such as time keeping and time service. Vice President Qiu Wuzhi introduced the research that Taiwan Chunghwa Telecommunication Laboratories has made in the field of time frequency and expressed the hope of communication and cooperation in terms of low-frequency time-code time service technology. During his trip, Qiu Wuzhi and his delegation visited Standard Time and Frequency Lab., Two-Way Satellite Comparison Lab., Quantum Frequency Standards Lab. and Shangqiu Low-Frequency Time-Code Time Service Station of NTSC.

NTSC used to have cooperative relationship with Taiwan Chunghwa Telecommunication Laboratories in two-way satellite comparison. Vice President Qiu Wuzhi’s visit has deepened the mutual acquaintance and communication and will play a significant role in promoting the further cooperation between the two sides.
