Print On April 9, 2026, more than 200 students from the Xi'an GaoXin No.10 Middle School visited the National Time Service Centre of the Chinese Academic of Sciences (NTSC) for a study tour themed "Record the changes in celestial phenomena, Treasure Every Moment". The students got an up-close look at the mysteries of time, experienced the spirit of science, and nurtured dreams of scientific exploration.
The activity kicked off with a tour of the Time Science Museum of NTSC. With easy-to-understand explanations and on-site displays of precision instruments, the students gained a thorough understanding that high-precision timekeeping is not only closely linked to daily life, but also plays an irreplaceable role in key national sectors including aerospace, telecommunications, finance and transportation.
Then, an engaging interactive lecture further deepened their knowledge. During the session, the students listened attentively and raised questions actively, engaging in in-depth discussions with researchers about time measurement, signal transmission, etc. The venue was filled with a vibrant academic atmosphere.
