Aimed at the present weekday effect of TWSTFT, CCTF Work Group on TWSTFT established Two-Way Satellite Work Research Group based on the Software-Defined Receiver in Jan. 2016. Our center made an application to the CCTF Work Group on TWSTFT and joined in that research group in Feb. 2016.

Dr Huang Yijun and Dr Lin Xinyan from Taiwan TL installed the Two-Way Satellite Software Receiver together with staffs from NTSC and successfully achieved the comparison result of International Two-Way Satellite Time based on the Software-Defined Receiver from July 19, 2016 to July 29, 2016.

During this period, Time and Frequency Standard Lab (TFSL) held an academic exchange meeting on time-maintaining technology. Dr Huang Yijun and Dr Lin Xinyan respectively made an academic report titled The Impact of The Software-Defined Receiver on Two-Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer and Clock Steering Model According to Local Ensemble and Other Reference Time Scale. Staffs from TFSL and researchers from NTSC participated in the meeting, the relevant issues like time reference maintenance and international time comparison were discussed heatedly.
