iGMAS Domestic Tracking Station and Data Center, which Are Responsible by NTSC, Were Showed to International Community as the Important Content of “ICG-7 Technology Tour”

The 7th Meeting of International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite System (ICG-7) was held in Beijing from Nov. 04 to Nov. 09, 2012. During the meeting, China held the “ICG-7 Technology Tour” for demonstrating technological achievements and exchanging technical experience. As an important part of “ICG-7 Technology Tour”, the international GNSS Monitoring & Assessment Service (iGMAS) was successfully showed to the international community on Nov. 06, 2012.

The iGMAS domestic tracking station and data center, which are responsible by the NTSC of Chinese Academy of Sciences, are one of the important content of the show. iGMAS domestic tracking station is mainly engaged in GNSS observation and data acquisition; the data center is responsible for external services of each station as well as the products storage and services.

Led by NTSC, the establishment of iGMAS domestic tracking station is undertaken jointly by Chinese Academy of Surveying & Mapping, Surveying and Mapping Bureau of Tibet, Shanghai Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun Observatory of National Astronomical Observatories, Yunnan Astronomical Observatory, Xingjiang Astronomical Observatory and Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics. NTSC works in close cooperation with associate organizations in an orderly way, effectively guarantees the quality and progress of the program with rapid advancement, and showed the iGMAS domestic tracking station to the international community as the important content of “ICG-7 Technology Tour”.
