China’s Stance of Leap Second Won the International Support

The 2012 Radio Communication Plenary Session of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) was held from Jan. 1st to 20th, 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland. In the afternoon of 19th, the plenary session conducted the discussion on the proposals of international standard time definition revise, and the China’s stance in its proposal, which disfavors of cancelling leap second at the moment and keeps definition of the current international standard time---UTC unchanged, wins the support from most countries.
