The “Modern Technological Transformation Project of BPL Long-wave Time-service System” , undertaken by National Time Service Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NTSC, CAS), has passed acceptance checks by expert groups organized by the CAS Bureau of Planning and Finance on November 10-11, 2010.
The project started from February 2006 and was formally put into trial operation on January 10, 2009. The transformed facilities such as transmission stations and lines enabled the BPL long-wave time-service system to realize successive transmission in 24 hours a day, providing timing services for its users.
After hearing an account by Prof. WANG Yulin from NTSC, the expert groups took field inspection in the transformed BPL long-wave time-service Pucheng transmission control clock room, BPL long-wave time-service transmission station and BPL Lintong monitoring station.
The experts groups were quite satisfied with the achievements of the project that greatly advanced the Loran-C timing technology in China. Given its remarkable economic and social benefits, the experts groups agreed that the project passed the acceptance checks.
