Modern Transformation Project of BPL Long-wave Time-service System of NTSC Passing Acceptance by the CAS

During Jan. 6 – 7, 2010, the “Modern Technological Transformation Project of BPL Long-wave Time-service System” undertaken by The NTSC under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) successfully passed the completion acceptance organized by the Bureau of High-Tech Research and Development under the CAS.

Started in Dec., 2006, the BPL technological transformation project achieved complete success through more than two years of development and construction by the NTSC and formally put into trial transmission and operation on Jan. 10, 2009.

Before this completion acceptance, environmental protection, labor safety & health and firefighting of the project had passed professional acceptances carried out respectively by Shaanxi Provincial Environmental Protection Department, Shaanxi Administration of Work Safety and firefighting department of Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province; the all-solid transmitter had passed the on-site test and professional acceptance organized by the NTSC; construction works of ground transmitter room and project archives had passed professional acceptances conducted respectively by Bureau of Capital Construction of CAS and General Office of CAS; the financial statements of project had passed the special financial audit organized by Supervision and Auditing Bureau of CAS. On Jan. 6, the comprehensive group, financial group and archive group of project completion acceptance carried out examination and acceptance on processing equipment, construction works, environmental protection, labor safety & health, firefighting, finance and archives of the project item by item, and formed an opinion on the examination and acceptance.

On Jan. 7, the group of project completion acceptance investigated the transformed BPL long-wave time-service Pucheng transmission control clock room, BPL long-wave time-service transmission station and BPL Lintong monitoring station on the site. After listening to the completion acceptance summary report given by researcher Wang Yulin, vice director of NTSC, and the completion examination and acceptance opinions of the comprehensive group, financial group and archive group, the expert group reached, through careful discussion, a consensus that the project completely fulfilled the construction contents and objectives, was in excellent state of implementation, had remarkable economic and social benefits and brought our country to the international advanced level in the aspect of Loran-C timing technology, and agreed that the project could pass the completion acceptance.
