Print On Dec. 29, 2009, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) formally approved the establishment of “Key Lab of Time-frequency Standard of the Chinese Academy of Sciences”.
This lab will conduct studies aiming at the basic and cutting-edge technologies of time domain, and its work will focus on the study on quantum frequency standards, study on time-keeping theory and method, technical study on precise time-frequency measurement and control, as well as technical study on time-frequency standard’s formulation and maintenance.
Academician Ye Chaohui is the chairman of Academic Council of the lab, and researcher Zhang Shougang assumes the position of lab chief. Supporting unit of this lab is the National Time Service Center under the CAS.
