The 1st Annual Academic Conference of Chinese Satellite Navigation to be Held in Beijing in May of 2010

The 1st Annual Academic Conference of Chinese Satellite Navigation is going to be held in Beijing from May 19 to 21, 2010, with academician Sun Jiadong assuming the position of chairman of Science Committee. Jointly organized by the Special Management Office of the 2nd-generation Satellite Navigation System of China, Hi-tech Development and Industrialization Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology, No. 1 Division of System Engineering of Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, Comprehensive Planning Division under the Ministry of Transport, Science and Technology Division of the Ministry of Education, Bureau of High-Tech Research and Development under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Application Management Center of China Satellite Navigation and Positioning, and undertaken by National Time Service Center under the CAS, Peking University and Xi’an Research Institute of Surveying and Mapping, this conference aims at setting up an open and authoritative academic exchange platform, enhancing participation of society and academic circle in the field of satellite navigation, vivifying the academic atmosphere in our country’s satellite navigation field and promoting academic exchange and cooperation in the global satellite navigation. In addition, its purposes also include finding new talents and exploring new train of thought to facilitate technological innovation, key technology breakthrough and sustainable development of independent satellite navigation system establishment of our country, enhancing the exchange between enterprises and the government to pursue the agreement of national economic application requirements with national policies, promoting technological progress and discussing industrial breakthrough to strengthen investors’ confidence, and discussing the development trend of global GNSS, so as to accelerate the course of our country blending into the GNSS and build the best brand of academic exchange and achievement exhibition for satellite navigation field of our country.
