Researcher Zhang Shougang from NTSC Is Selected Organizing Member of Time Professional Committee of International Astronomical Union (IAU)

Aug. 2009, Researcher Zhang Shougang from NTSC was elected the organizing member of Time Professional Committee of this year on the 27th IAU Conference convened in Brazil.

The professional committee is composed of six scientists from Australia, France, Japan, Russia, China and Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM). Dr. Richard N. Manchester, Chairman of the committee, is a world-famous research scholar of pulsar time who serves at Parkes Observatory.
